"The kitchen was the last big project to be completed on our home. After living in the house for 9 years, we had an idea of what we wanted the kitchen to look like. Easier said than done! We had sought the advice of several high street kitchen companies, none of whom seemed to listen to our requirements. Then we met Sue Spear from Victor George Homes & her husband Paul. Finally we had found a company that listened - Sue came up with a plan that we liked and at a price we could afford. We put the wheels in motion & the project started.

Like all projects involving older properties, we encountered a few problems. It was great being able to leave all the worries to Victor George Homes whilst we continued with our lives. We were kept updated and informed every step of the way and any additional costs were brought to our attention immediately and followed up in writing within 24 hours.

When the kitchen was complete there were no surprises. The project ran smoothly and surprisingly close to budget. The additional work was due to unforeseen fabric and structural problems that could not have been detected prior to commencement of the project. Also, we believe that having someone project manage the whole thing probably saved us money overall as a lot of the unforeseen bits and pieces were just absorbed into the overall activity. Had we been organising and paying for them ourselves on a piece-by-piece basis, we're sure that they would have mounted up significantly. With Sue managing all the activity - and co-ordinating her various teams of trades-people - the worked seemed to flow smoothly and continuously; something that realistically speaking we doubt we could have achieved ourselves!

We now have an amazing Kitchen. It's transformed the house!
